PATENT PENDING cutterhead unit

The machine features a 12" wide spiral cutterhead with a 12" wide sanding drum and a powerful 5HP motor. It can easily switch from Planer Mode to Sander Mode with a convenient hand crank on top, eliminating the need for component switching. Precise micro-adjustments allow for accurate side to side cuts, while spring loaded rollers provide gentle pressure on the workpiece, resembling a clamp.

Very minimal to zero tearout

This cutterhead utilizes 4 sided inserts to achieve an outstanding finish. No special tools are required - simply loosening the screw and turning the insert 1/4 turn will result in a new, razor sharp cutting edge. Operating at a low noise level and requiring less power, this cutterhead is more efficient and effective compared to traditional straight blade cutterheads. Its impressive performance is evident in its ability to effortlessly handle challenging materials such as epoxy resin and highly figured wood, leaving behind a flawless finish with minimal to zero tearout.

 

 

 

Excellent dust extraction

Connect your vacuum ductwork directly to the 4" dust port and let the dust collector do the work for you. Thanks to the flexible brushes mounted around the bottom of the cutterhead unit and a large dust port, this setup captures 95% of wood chips and dust, making cleanup a breeze. This provides a significant advantage over using a router sled, as there is very little cleanup required after flattening slabs.

Machine Control

 

Upgrade to premium machine control for more advanced features (optional). Both the 50" and 74" models include a VFD for easy forward and reverse operation while walking alongside the machine. The machine is powered by a 5hp single phase motor with a magnetic ON/OFF switch and requires a single phase 220V input. Make precise left/right and vertical adjustments using the handwheel.
