This is a ring for all the romantics out there! Crafted in a buttery 18ct gold, it features a diagonal strip across its middle on which a central Ruby is sandwiched by two sparkling diamonds. On either side are two beautifully engraved ivy leaves. The face measures 7mm and the back of the band, 3mm.
Victorian/Edwardian jewellery was steeped in symbolism and ivy leaves symbolised everlasting love, fidelity, and the meaning, 'cling to thee'. Its therefore plain to see that this ring was created with love in mind!
Fully hallmarked for 18ct Gold, Birmingham and the year 1901, this is a truly spectacular antique ring which carries with 124 years of history.
This stunning piece is currently a UK size L (US size 5 3/4) but a jeweller would have no problem adjusting this to a larger or smaller size. It weighs 2.30g.
