An exceptional quality antique Italian chest of drawers or commode. Finely hand crafted in  Italy in the 19th century, it features a beautifully inlaid top, drawers and sides with birds and dancing figures beautifully framed with leaves and garlands. Lovely serpentine shaped top with stepped molded edge over conforming serpentine-front solid wooden case with gadroon carved frieze, fitted with four generous sized drawers, each adorned with original ornate patinated brass pull fittings, all rising on canted bracket feet.
