All Points West brings sexy back. Spoiler alert: it wears silver.

Once upon a time, Gil Spaier, the founder and distiller at All Points West, was an architect. And he says he might’ve still been one, but it just so happened that he had come across Philip Roth’s American Pastoral. And then? Well, it sparked interest in old industrial Newark where he had just moved with his wife and where immigrants used to pioneer and staff breweries in the Ironbound neighborhood. Sadly, none of those remained. But Spaier never let go of the idea of using traditional Irish pot-still methods on barley and corn Spirit and about 15 years later, in 2017, All Points West was born. And then? Just 2 years later, their Whiskey got the Gold Medal plus "Whiskey of the Year" from the USA Spirit Rating Competition and they’ve been going strong ever since.

Since Spaier was so inspired by the late 19th century distilleries founded and staffed by Old World immigrants in Newark, the two All Points West Whiskey expressions are set to bring that kind of sexy back. By sexy, we mean a Trans-Atlantic Whiskey as the Grain and Malt Pot Still Whiskey expression revives this lost Whiskey style. Containing more corn than its brother, it’s closer to Bourbon than Irish Whiskey. Everything from mashing to bottling is done under one roof. The grain bill is corn, malted wheat, malted barley, and water from the Newark Watersheds as well as Appalachian Highlands. Hand bottled at 92 proof, this one’s truly a winner. More specifically, a Silver winner at the 2019 John Barleycorn Awards.
