This handsome man in the moon was originally a stickpin and has been converted to a pendant.
Measuring 1.3cm diameter, it features a lovely carved labrodite (sometimes known as rainbow moonstone) whose iridescence exhibitis a spectrum of colors as it catches the light.
In Victorian/Edwardian jewelry, the moon was a popular motif, sometimes symbolizing love and romance, especially when paired with other elements like moonstones/rainbow moonstones.
This man in the moon is an old one, dating to the Edwadian era, and some wear can be noticed through a loupe on the reverse of the pendant - a ittle chip on the bottom right of the face, I have taken this into account when pricing the piece.
