A true heirloom treasure from the era 1850s to 1860s. 

This exceptional Victorian locket pendant is crafted in high carat yellow gold and is perfectly coloured with a robins egg blue enamel centre.

The captivating starburst design is gemstone set with 4 light pink Angel Coral cabochons radiating outwards from a central cushion cut diamond and with 8 diamond set star points.  The border of this high rise, enamel detailed locket is an Etruscan style gold bubble frame with a fine twisted rope border cuff lying on the inside of the frame.

The fine, heirloom quality locket is presented in the original velvet lined gift box, signed by the Victorian Royal jewellers of Hancock & Sons. Hancocks & Sons, are historic British jewellers, founded in 1849 in Bond Street, London. They are known for receiving Royal Warrants (or orders) from the English Queen Victoria and crafting the British Victoria Cross.

This magnificent locket is in excellent antique condition with only slight loss of 18ct gold gilding over the left corner of the 15ct carat gold beaded border.

The original, heavy gold bail remains intact, as also the slightly concave glass cover on the back of the locket pendant. The glass frame is able to be opened and closed to add your treasures to the tummy of this Victorian gold keepsake locket.

This treasured gold locket is not marked, yet tests as between 15ct and 18ct in gold. It is a true heirloom treasure, ready to be enjoyed for many more generations to come.
