One must not make light of the custom of eating sofganim on Chanukah. It is a custom of the Kadmonim [the ancient ones].
Rabbi Maimon ben Yosef, 12th century
Scent: Jelly Donut - Vanilla creme and sugared strawberries
Texture: Butter with jelly topper
Book Context
This slime is based on sufganiyot, the traditional jelly filled donuts eaten in celebration of Chanukah and the miracle of the oil.
Notes on Scent
To give this slime the true sugary sweetness of real jelly donuts, I used two artificial scents that one might find in a filled donut.
Notes on Texture
Mixing the jelly with the butter results in a soft light snowbutter (or a pb&j)
Notes on the Book Cover
Since this slime was more inspired by a food and not a story, I made up a title and cover of a cookbook that would be likely to have a sufganiyot recipe inside.
Both versions come with packet of cornstarch for dusting, and The Slimest Baker book charm
All book charms are fully handmade, from design to 3D printing to assembly, by the Head Librarian.
