Q: How to install this?

A: 

1. Open the ladder and position the mounting bracket flat on the open truck tailgate. 
2. The position of the mounting bracket should be at least 3 inches from the right or left sides of the tailgate, and at least two inches from the top of the tailgate. 
3. With the mounting plate positioned on the tailgate, install supplied screws using the bit driver included.
4. Fold the ladder and close the tailgate to verify proper clearances.
