About Yoichi

The Yoichi distillery, founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, is Nikka's first distillery, located in the Hokkaido region of Japan to replicate Scotland's climate and natural conditions. Yoichi whiskies are known for their bold, full-bodied, peaty, and maritime character, influenced by the local sea breeze and coal-fired direct distillation.
