Like a sea bound rock, I'm trapped by the repetition of the relentless tides. Waves crash over me, drown me, and release me. I'm stuck out to sea... but am I? I'm not a rock; I have legs and can kick. Beating my legs hard, I swim to shore, waves push me back, but I continue to push forward. Slowly but surely, I reach the shore, tired and slumped physically, but mentally... mentally, I'm hopeful. I see the path, and that's more than I could say before. In this moment, I cry happy tears as I realize I've fought for my freedom and earned it. I've earned this glow I feel inside. Where will it take me?
