AROMA Showing varietal aromas of kiwi fruit, lime, pineapple and hints of grass and nettle.

PALATE The palate is fresh and lively and shows tropical fruit and citrus characters along with background herbaceous characters. It shows fresh, crisp acidity and good persistence of flavour.

VINEYARD The vineyard is on sandy loam soil on the flats of Padthaway.

PRODUCTION The 2022 vintage in Padthaway is one to remember, with near perfect conditions. Dry and warm weather during flowering led to really good berry set that happened fairly quickly, resulting in nice even ripening of fruit.

MATURATION Harvested in the cool of the night, the juice had minimal skin contact to maintain its freshness. It was fermented under cool conditions, and bottled soon after the fermentation was complete to trap all the fresh aromatics in the bottle.
