A mid-20th century Mexican folk art pottery bird, hand-painted and signed Rivera in the Tonalá tradition. The rounded form is finished in a warm clay tone with black and red patterning, including stylized eyes and radiating feather motifs that wrap across the surface. It carries a strong graphic presence while remaining grounded and sculptural, sitting comfortably on shelving, atop a stack of books, or worked into a layered tabletop.
In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. General wear to the finish with fading and scratches. Small chips on the base near the opening.
