Ceratostigma plumbaginoides

Spreading woody-based perennial with erect red stems and obovate bright green leaves, red tinted in autumn. In late summer to autumn bears spike-like mid-blue flowers.

Grow in a sunny border, sheltered spot or against a sunny wall.

Prune in early spring to tidy up plant, this allows the new growth to come through.

Grow in a moderately fertile light soil.

Makes an excellent colourful ground cover plant.
