Originally released in 1981 on the No Wave imprint, Infidelity, this underground classic finally sees reissue. Jody Harris played guitar in the Contortions (among others), and Robert Quine is well-known for his work with Richard Hell, Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Matthew Sweet, etc. Recorded in Quine's apartment, Escape sees the two engaging in guitar duels over a minimal-synth/drum-machine patter, combining guitar hysterics with a kind of Suicide-like hum. Newly remastered with iner notes from Harris and a previously-unpublished photo by Laura Levine, it comes in an edition of 500 copies.
