The most prominent element in the history of our estate, Vigna Rionda is one of the most sought-after and prestigious crus in the area. This prestige goes beyond the microclimate and soil: something happens on that hill and that something gives life to Vigna Rionda Riserva, a truly unique wine. Made with Nebbiolo grapes grown in our vineyard in the “Vigna Rionda” Me.G.A. in Serralunga d’Alba.

Tasting Notes

The colour is a bright garnet red. The bouquet displays a wide and enveloping range of aromas, from the youthful red fruit and floral notes to the more mature characteristics of brushwood, tobacco, and spices that develop over time. This wine offers a complex blend of evolving nuances that gradually unfold in the glass. Palate: Vigna Rionda is an exceptional Barolo, difficult to summarize briefly and distinct even among other wines from Serralunga. It combines complexity, structure, and longevity with exceptional elegance. Patience is essential, as it remains in our cellars until its sixth year—the only wine in our portfolio to do so—before being released as a Riserva. We recommend decanting and serving between 18-20°C. Continuously evolving, it pairs excellently with richly flavored meat dishes and aged cheeses.
