GlowShift’s Tinted 7 Color Series 60 PSI Exhaust Pressure Gauge measures how much exhaust pressure is driving your truck’s turbo versus the amount of boost pressure being produced. It is important to stay on top of drive pressure levels to protect from overboosting which could damage the turbo. This diesel exhaust back pressure gauge will help you monitor by displaying exhaust pressure readings from 0 to 60 PSI.

Features

The illuminated red needle that this gauge is equipped with sweeps 270° and is powered by stepper motor technology, giving you an effective combination of incredibly precise gauge readings and extremely smooth needle movement. GlowShift’s 7 Color through dial lighting system allows you to select and change the color of your gauge lighting display by simply pressing the button located on the front of the gauge.

Easily cycle through the 7 Solid Color Settings and 2 Color Cycle Modes. Adjust the color of the gauge to match your factory dash lights, or create a custom look inside of your car or truck. With the Color Memory feature, you won’t have to reset the color of the gauge every time you turn on your vehicle.

Backlighting

This gauge features LED backlighting which results in an ultra-bright display that delivers clear and vivid readouts. On or off, the gauge will look amazing courtesy of the black gauge dial and magnified tinted lens which are at the heart of this Gauge Series. By connecting the orange wire from the power harness to the factory headlight switch, you’ll be able to dim the gauge 30% when the headlights are on. This feature will help you to reduce brightness and glare while viewing readings at night.

Tubing, Sensor & Fittings

The Electronic Pressure Sensor with 1/8-27 NPT Male Threads can be installed to the Exhaust Manifold using the included Copper Cooling Tubing and Compression Fittings. Take readings from 0 to 60 PSI with unrivaled accuracy.

Wiring

A 2’ Power Harness and 9’ Pressure Sensor Harness are provided that utilize Plug and Play Connectivity to easily snap into the modular connectors on the back of the gauge. The extended wire lengths give you added flexibility during installation.

Mounting Bracket

A Mounting Bracket is included with hardware which attaches the bracket to the back of the gauge for a secure fit in any vehicle’s in-dash mount. The bracket is U-shaped and made out of metal to be extremely durable.

Boost vs Exhaust Pressure

Boost pressure and exhaust pressure go hand-in-hand with the performance of a turbo-charged diesel engine. Exhaust pressure, or exhaust drive pressure, is produced when exhaust builds up and is trying to escape from the engine. When boost pressure is increased, exhaust pressure will increase incrementally as well. Basically, the more boost you run, the more drive pressure you’ll get and engine performance can decrease. At the same time, lowering boost pressure will also cause exhaust pressure to decrease. The optimal ratio is 1:1, which will lead to solid performance in a turbo diesel engine. That ratio is not easy to reach, but the goal is to get as close to it as possible.
