The pin mechanism of this very well made antique crescent brooch is removable, indicating that it might have once had a pendant fitting or have been used as a decorative element on a tiara. Upon request I can arrange for a screw in pendant fitting to be made for you. 

Total diamond weight:  2.76 carats, with the 8.7 grams crescent brooch being hand created in darkened silver over 9ct. rose gold.  This credits the heirloom diamond crescent brooch as era circa 1870’s.
