Cornish Poplar No. 6

Hand Turned and sculpted out of Cornish Poplar donated to me by a friend, I only have a small piece of this tree so this will be one of only 5-6 items that will be made.

Stunning grain patterns revealed by turning this piece, not to mention the beautiful form this has taken.

This bowl looks amazing from so many angles, each showing off the beautiful patterns as well as some unique shapes due to the wavy grain found in this part of the tree.

Width : 280mm (11")
Height: 125mm (5")

Finished with a blend of pure organic Cornish beeswax (Gwenen apiaries) and organic uk grown and produced hemp oil (vitality hemp)
I blend the two myself to create the ideal ratio for nourishing and protecting the wood.

Laser engraved on the base.

All my items are made entirely by me in my cornish workshop near St Ives.
