~Olde Tessa~

This sweet gal came out PERFECTLY!!  Her head is perfect!!  I finally got the shape just right.   Tessa is made from viscose that I have dyed a lovely rich cream with a dark brown backing.  I am really loving dying my own bear fabrics and creating my own colors.  It just makes them that much more endearing to me....and hopefully to you. :) 

Tessa is a soft cream color and has black glass, shoe button, eyes and a thread nose.  I have plucked and aged her for an olde, well worn, and well loved, appearance. I've added a few "repair stitches" here and there, for a bit of a mended look. :)  Tessa is stuffed with excelsior, wool batting, sawdust and some glass beads for weight.  Around her neck she wears a vintage rayon ribbon.  She holds in one paw a juicy green velvet pea.  In her lap she holds a small velvet peapod made hand dyed velvet and aged cotton.  The peapod holds three velvet peas.  The peapod is finished off with a bit of hand dyed (by me) deep green silk ribbon.  

Olde Tessa measures 8 1/2".  Her peapod measures 5" x 1".  Tessa will come to you carefully packaged for travel. :)
