With its around 67 300 new cases annually, breast cancer is by far the most common cancer in women. For hardly any other cancer is early detection as important for the chances of recovery as it is for breast cancer. It is therefore of greatest importance to raise awareness of both preventive measures and early detection of breast cancer, as well as to promote the research of further treatment options.
