Bankhall Cigar Malt is aged in 100% virgin American oak casks, creating a ‘complex’ single malt that can ‘hold its own’ against the heavy tobacco notes of a cigar.

Tasting Notes

It offers vanilla on the nose, with ‘clove, cinnamon, spicy wood tannins’ on the palate, followed by a ‘long and tannic’ finish.

The history of Bankhall Distillery involves both a legacy brand and a modern one. The modern distillery in Blackpool, England, which opened in 2020, uses the historic Bankhall name to honour the original Liverpool distillery that was established in 1790 and was featured in the 1887 book Whisky Distilleries of the United Kingdom. Today's Bankhall is known for producing English whiskies, such as single malts and bourbon-style spirits, while aiming to be a significant player in the future of British distilling.
