Book Context
A Wrinkle in Time finds 13 year old Meg, her baby brother Charles Wallace, and a boy from her class Calvin, whisked away by three mysteriously powerful women on a journey through the galaxy to find Meg's missing father.  In this part of the story, this visit the Happy Medium, a seer who can see events throughout time and space in her crystal ball. In this moment, the children are shown a seething darkness that is close to completely surrounding Earth, and how that darkness can be defeated by the power of light.

Notes on Texture
This coated clear slime is packed with black floam to represent the scattering of darkness, star beads for the brightness and strength of the stars, holographic and star glitters for the stars shining through space, and a purple to teal iridescent color shift that reminds me of far away galaxies.

Notes on Scent
In an earlier part of the book, the children are whisked away to Uriel, the third planet of the star Malak in the spiral nebula Messier 101, where they are met with beautifully grassy fields and hosts of flowers.  I wanted the scent to evoke the grassy planes and blooms of Uriel.
