This amazing gibson girl style hat from the 1980s (?) is made of a beautiful mesh whipped swirl with straw worked in. This was done by Anna Valenti of Brookline - I can't seem to find any more information on her, but this came from the local estate of a woman who loved a good hat and shopped often at department stores and up and coming designer locations. This would be a perfect hat for church or the derby. There is a mold-able wire brim inside so that you can form the brim any way you want, and then it also has hair combs attached with elastic so you can get the perfect spot on your head without it moving around or getting lost. Big chiffon ribbon with a side gathering in a taupe color. Made for someone with a hat band around 22", but can fit smaller with the combs.
