Product Description: Experience the charm of history with this exquisite Seven-Layer Chevron bead. Despite visible wear from age, this Venetian bead, dating back to the late 1400s, embodies a sense of romance and timeless craftsmanship. A single bead with a diameter of approximately 25mm and a height of 28mm, it weighs 25g and features a 5mm hole. As an antique piece, please note it may exhibit signs of wear such as scratches, cracks, or chips.
Being an antique item, it may have imperfections such as scratches, cracks, or chips. The actual product may appear slightly different from the photos due to lighting conditions and the use of studio lighting during photography, resulting in a brighter appearance in well-lit indoor settings.
The Chevron bead technique was invented in the late 1400s by Maria Valovere on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques have roots in ancient methods, Chevron beads are uniquely Venetian. Up to ten layers of Chevron beads have been discovered, with blue being the most common color. Red, green, and black Chevrons are particularly rare. The technique later spread to the Netherlands. The term "Chevron" means "V-shaped" and is also known as Star Beads or Rosetta Beads (CHEVRON).
