Die weine konnten vom patentierten Bewässerungssystem von Mollydooker profitieren und zur Bestform auflaufen! Der Boxer ist dunkel, dicht, extraktreich und hat Noten von Vanille, Nelke, Brombeeren, Cassis und Zedernholz. Intensiv und begeisternd in der Nase, Voll und vielschichtig am Gaumen, lang und angenehm im Abgang. 2018 verträgt durchaus noch Luft um sich zu entfalten. Oft am folgenden Tag noch besser. 'Mollydooker' is old Aussie slang for a left handed boxer and our Boxer always punches well above its Fruit Weight™. Did you notice he has two left-handed gloves? This alluring and unashamedly bold Shiraz has hints of spiced plums, blackberry jam and cherry all at the fore and finishes with coffee cream, licorice and vanilla. Full bodied with vibrant berry fruit characteristics, yet elegant with restrained tannins, resulting in a soft mouthfeel. Consistently impressive and seriously good, this wine is not short of character. The grapes were grown on vineyards in McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. The Boxer has been Barrel fermented and matured in 100% American oak, using 34% new, 44% one year old, and 22% two year old barrels. The required Marquis Fruit Weight™ for the Lefty Series is 65% – 75%. The Actual Fruit Weight for 2019 The Boxer is 68%. Alcohol: 16% Residual Sugar: 0.8 (g/L) pH: 3.61

Tipp: Kühlschrankkalt kann mann den Boxer im Sommer auch trinken. Er kommt frisch in den Mund und explodiert immer noch mit einem breiten Spektrum an Beeren und gewürzen ... Toll, gerade wenn die Temperaturen hoher sind!
