Background: Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen(PSMA) is a 110kDa type II transmembrane protein. The gene is located at 11q, which is highly expressed in the normal and malignant prostate secretory acinar epithelium, and also in some benign epithelial cells of breast, duodenum and kidney. At present, PSMA is considered to be a specific marker of prostate cancer.
