Half-title signed by Thorpe and includes a loosely inserted letter dated to 1893, when she lived at Rosemere, Pacific Beach California. She writes Mr. Goss regarding her new literary efforts, i.e. a history of Multnomah Country, Oregon and a collected works of her many unpublished poems, etc.
