Albariño hails from Spain’s cool Atlantic coast in Galicia, where it underpins the crisp, seafood-loving wines of Rías Baixas. Australia’s first attempts at planting the grape were famously a false start, when what we thought was Albariño turned out to be Savagnin. Thankfully the real thing has since arrived.
Our take leans into the modern Australian style: bright, fruit driven and textural, with green melon, citrus and a gentle saline edge. Think of it as a more interesting alternative to Sauvignon Blanc, particularly at home alongside tapas, fresh seafood and anything with a light Spanish (Basque) accent.
