This dress is from Dolce & Gabbana's highly glamorous main line circa 2003. Flaunting many of the fashion house's beloved signature details, we love the underwear-as-outerwear design and sensuous lace-up sides. Tailored from smooth silk with a hint of stretch, it is printed all over with a zebra print design in off-white and darkest brown. The top forms a bustier and is held up by adjustable bra-like straps. The sides of the dress are detailed with black eyelets interwoven with black laces. The back is secured with hidden hook-and-eye clasps running all the way down to the bottom hem. The bodice is quilted with stunning white zig-zag stitching, adding a corset-like stiffness to the fit. This gown hugs that body in that oh-so-Dolce kind of way, accentuating and highlighting the curves. It falls to below knee length, balancing out the overt sexiness.

This highly collectable dress is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. It is composed of 93% silk and 7% elastane, and the lining is 96% silk and 4% elastane. It is labelled a size 42, or UK 10 which equates to a US 6. The slight stretch to the silk adds a small amount of leeway (0.5cm) to the measurements below. Our model is a UK 8-10 and 5ft 11in (180cm) and this dress fit her well.
