We are so pleased to see velvet making an appearance on both the runways and red carpets again! It really is an insanely fabulous fabric and oft over-looked. This is a beautiful gown that has its original velvet belt with a silk tie. I love that you can wear the belt with the ties at the front or the back. The skirt of the gown has unexpected volume. This is created by a large, soft pleat in the front for extra volume on the lower half of the skirt. When standing still it falls in a sleek column of velvet but when you move this pleat allows it to have a bit of shape. The top portion is cut with strong shoulders and a simple cut to the bodice. Excellent condition and appears unworn.

Fully lined in black silk and closes with a hidden set zipper. The belt is original to the dress, ties with silk ribbons and is backed with suede. I have shown it with the ribbons at the front but you can wear it the other way around as well.
