This Gunne Sax maxi-dress is from the brand’s highly collectable black label era. The label reads “Gunne Sax by Jessica”. This branding was used from 1969 into the early 1970s, marking the piece as an early design by the company which was founded in 1967. Incorporating many of the label’s signature prairie references, this cotton maxi-dress features crochet detailing across a panel that falls the length of the front and back. At the bust, there is a lace up detail strung with cream rope. The sleeves are cut straight and have an angled cuff. They are detailed with peekaboo panels of crochet that reveal the skin underneath. The skirt features a wide ruffle flounce at the bottom. The dress fastens at the back with a hidden, tonal zip and it is unlined.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition with no issues and would make a great wedding dress as this is one of Gunne Sax's most sought after designs. There are no size or composition labels so please check the measurements below carefully. The fabric has no stretch. We believe this dress would best fit up to a UK size 10 or US 6 and sizes smaller.
