Laon-Laon: Perspectives in Transmission and Pedagogy of Musical Traditions in Post-Colonial Southeast Asia

Laon-Laon is a compilation of extensive studies and observations on the transformative states of Asian expressive culture as reflected in the contemporary modes of transmission of traditional artistic practices in the Philippines. The author is an internationally recognized scholar, University Professor Emeritus of the University of the Philippines, President of the Musicological Society of the Philippines and Director of the UP Center of Ethnomusicology. He also served as artistic Director of the CCP and Commissioner of the NCCA.
