HMS Yarmouth (F101) was a Rothesay‑class (Type 12M) frigate of the Royal Navy. Laid down in November 1957 by John Brown & Company, she was launched in March 1959 and commissioned in March 1960. She underwent a major modernisation from 1966‑68, gaining a helicopter hangar and flight deck, new radar/weaponry updates including the Seacat missile, and other enhancements.
HMS Yarmouth saw active service, including fishery protection during the Cod Wars, and took part in the Falklands War (1982), including bombardments and recapture of South Sandwich Islands. She was decommissioned in April 1986 and sunk as a target in 1987.
