Super-soft and surprisingly practical

This beautiful bag from Sanyo Denim (Okayama, Japan) is made from 100% cotton denim, processed on-site using Sanyo's extensive denim-washing apparatus and sewn by skilled artisans.

Perfect as a project bag or a commuter tote, the Everyday Denim Tote is sized to comfortably fit A4 or US Letter-sized papers — which means it's also the right size for smaller laptops.

Inside, you'll find a soft cotton lining and enough space for all your daily items. An inner pocket offers unstructured storage space. Soft, 7" tall, denim handles are securely stitched into each side of the bag, and a metal snap holds the sides together loosely at the top.

On the sides, gigantic unstructured pockets and smaller, pocket-knife-sized pockets (five outer pockets in total) add considerably to the total storage volume. It's a practical bag with a bit of an insouciant attitude because of its slouchy construction. And thanks to Sanyo's denim-washing expertise, it's made of extraordinarily soft fabric that everyone will want to touch.

Sanyo High-Cleaner Co. Ltd. is an Okayama-based denim processor, founded in 1968 and engaged in all kinds of denim activities. The company name references 'cleaning' because Sanyo's main business is washing denim to create different styles. In-house technicians at Sanyo take denim fabric from Japanese producers, then wash, distress, acid-treat, embroider, or sew it, depending on the client's specs.

In addition to their brisk business for other manufacturers, Sanyo Denim manufactures its own designs. Their classic bags and accessories are inspired by midcentury American style — but they're made to a standard of quality that's hard to find on any continent.
