Please Read Before Ordering: Factory 1979–1995 Toyota Pickups and 1984–1995 4Runners originally shipped with a smaller, weaker 27-spline pinion shaft.

To significantly increase drivetrain strength and prevent pinion failure under heavy loads, Yukon engineers this high-performance gear set exclusively with a heavy-duty 29-spline pinion shaft.

Because the pinion shaft diameter is larger than the factory original, this gear set will not directly fit your stock 27-spline hardware. To complete this installation successfully, the customer must upgrade their third member with the following matching 29-spline conversion components:

• 29-Spline Companion Flange / Yoke: Required to connect your driveshaft to the larger pinion. (A triple-drilled multi-pattern flange is highly recommended to match early Toyota driveshaft bolt patterns).

• 29-Spline Pinion Seal: V6-style inner diameter seal designed to accommodate the wider 29-spline shaft.

• 29-Spline Pinion Nut: Required for securing the new companion flange setup.

Note: These components are included when selecting the "29-Spline Gears + 27-to-29 Spline Conversion Hardware Kit" option under Installation Spline Configuration. This package provides the necessary conversion hardware to install a 29-spline ring and pinion gear set in applications originally equipped with 27-spline components, helping ensure proper fitment and a complete installation.
